Meet Our Founder
Hello!
I’m Joanna Miller, an executive coach, facilitator, and experience designer who works with senior leaders and teams navigating complexity, change, and growth.
I believe the most impactful leadership experiences help people see clearly, communicate honestly, and make decisions with integrity, especially when the path forward isn’t obvious.
Before founding Joyful Leadership, I led Learning & Development at Asana and built global leadership and learning programs at Levi’s. Working across early-stage startups, century-old organizations, and everything in between has given me a first-hand perspective on how culture, systems, and human dynamics intersect at different scales.
Through Joyful Leadership, I partner with mission-driven leaders and teams to support alignment, executive development, and communication. My work blends emotional intelligence with practical frameworks, grounded in my training as a certified Conscious Leadership coach and my work as a senior instructor with The Primary Shift School of Experience Design, bringing clarity, intention, and humanity into moments that matter.
I’m also a writer and speaker interested in the inner life of leadership, creativity, and intentional living. My work has been featured in Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Great Place to Work, Liz & Mollie, and on The Moth stage.
